South Korean Amb. Tours New Alamein Towers, Heritage City

Wael Samir, head of the New Alamein City Development Authority received Kim Young Hyun, the South Korean ambassador to Egypt and his accompanying delegation, on an inspection tour to the new city of El Alamein.

A detailed explanation was provided to the ambassador about the stages of implementing the city and the projects that have been and are being implemented, in addition to showing a documentary film about the most prominent challenges that the state faced during the construction of the new city, and how it was transformed from a barren desert into the largest touristic site in Egypt.

The ambassador then went on to conduct an inspection tour of the city’s projects, which began with the New Alamein Towers in the beach area, the heritage city, the beach promenade and the Downtown buildings.

New Alamein Towers

The beach area in New Alamein City includes 15 towers that are being finished, another group of towers that are being implemented, an entertainment area that has been completed, and a walkway overlooking the lake.

Heritage City

The Heritage City project is built on an area of 260 feddans, and the total number of sites in the Heritage City is about 70, including (the main lake – the central park – the mosque – the church – the Roman theater – the opera – commercial and hotel buildings in the old quarter – the cinemas complex) next to the main plaza.

New El Alamein City also includes other residential projects such as social housing, premium housing, and Egypt Housing, in addition to service projects, most notably El Alamein National University and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime.
