RS Berkane Confirm Shaabani's Exit

Moroccan club RS Berkane have officially confirmed the departure of head coach Moine Chaabani after reaching an agreement with the Tunisian Football Federation, allowing him to become the new manager of the Tunisia national team.

In an official statement released on Friday, Berkane said they accepted the federation's request out of respect for the significance of coaching the national team and the strong relationship between Morocco and Tunisia.

The club revealed that Chaabani was under contract until June 30, 2027, adding that the Tunisian Football Federation had approached him on three separate occasions before both parties finally reached an agreement.

Berkane praised the Tunisian coach for his professionalism and dedication during his two-and-a-half-year spell in charge, highlighting the major achievements he helped the club accomplish.

"The coach showed great professionalism and commitment throughout his time with the club, contributing to important successes and leaving a lasting mark in RS Berkane's history," the statement read.

The Moroccan side also wished Chaabani success in his new role with the Carthage Eagles.

Meanwhile, RS Berkane reassured supporters that preparations for the upcoming season are already underway, stressing that the club is working to maintain the continuity of its sporting project despite the coaching change.
