Reports: Libyan Joint Delegation to Visit Egypt

A delegation from the Libya House of Representatives (HoR) and the High State Council (HSC) will head to the Egyptian capital, Cairo on Sunday, informed sources told the Libyan News website AlSaaa24.

The sources added that the visit of the delegation to participate in the meetings of the committee to follow the Libyan constitutional path, under the auspices of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

The sources pointed out that the meetings would discuss finding points of agreement among the members of the committee on the Libyan constitution draft.

A member of the legal committee emanating from the political dialogue, Abdul Qadir Hawili said that the committee continues to discuss proposals on the constitutional basis for the upcoming elections.

In press statements, Hawili added that the committee will meet on Sunday to discuss the rest of the proposals that will be presented to the committee.

He continued: "It is expected that the proposals will be presented to the Constitutional Committee between the HoR and the HSC on the January 20 in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
