On Saturday, the Libyan Al-Buraq Air company resumed its flights to Egypt. The first flight arrived at Egypt`s Borg El Arab International Airport.

The flight carried 55 passengers on board as a part of the resumption of the Libyan Al-Buraq company to Egypt after their suspension.

The authorities at Borg El Arab airport received the plane at the water bridge, then the public relations team provided all the necessary facilities for the passengers and quickly completed the quarantine procedures. They were assured about the presence of the required medical approvals by negatively testing the PCR for all incoming passengers.

The authorities stressed adhering to all precautionary measures taken to maintain the safety and health of all passengers and airport workers.

There are 4 weekly flights between Egypt and 4 Libyan airports, which are Benghazi, Tobruk, Al-Abraq, and Mitiga.

Earlier Saturday, EgyptAir announced offering a 20% reduction on its flights from Cairo to Doha. This reduction is applicable for the tickets until February 10, 2021, and travel until March 27, 2021.

In a statement, the company also announced the travel restrictions to Qatar through its website egyptair.com which requires the necessity to download the “EHTERAZ” application before traveling and filling in the required information.

The company had announced the resumption of operating a daily flight between Cairo and Doha, starting next Monday, January 18, 2021.

Egypt decided to lift the flight ban for Qatari planes in Egyptian airspace and airports starting this month, after signing the “Al-Ula Statement” issued by the 41st summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council recently.

The company is scheduled to operate a daily flight between Cairo and Doha.
