Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join Turkish giants Beşiktaş following his departure from Liverpool, according to journalist Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato.
The report states that Salah has agreed in principle to a one-year contract with an option to extend his stay for an additional season.
Under the proposed deal, the 34-year-old forward is expected to earn a guaranteed €10 million per year, with performance-related bonuses that could increase his annual salary to €12 million.
While the agreement has reportedly been reached verbally, the transfer has not yet been finalized, with the remaining formalities still to be completed before an official announcement.
Beşiktaş have been among the most active clubs in the summer transfer window as they continue to strengthen their squad. The Turkish side recently completed the signing of Belgian winger Leandro Trossard from Arsenal.
Salah left Liverpool earlier this summer after bringing an end to a highly successful spell at Anfield, where he established himself as one of the Premier League's greatest forwards.
During the 2025/26 season, the Egyptian international made 41 appearances across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists.
According to Transfermarkt, Salah's current market value is estimated at €22 million.
