Rady: Sisi Receives Albania's Premier

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received today, Saturday, at Ettahadiya Palace, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi welcomed the Albanian Prime Minister, expressing Egypt's pride in the friendship and historical ties between the two friendly countries at the official and popular levels, and Egypt's aspiration to expand cooperation with Albania in various fields and forums.

He also congratulated Albania for obtaining a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council during the period from 2022 to 2023.

"The President stressed the importance of political consultation with the Albanian side as periodically during his presence at the Security Council, especially in light of the Albanian efforts and its vision in the Balkans to advance peace and stability and promote regional integration to achieve prosperity for the countries of the region, as well as its active role in addressing some international crises," said Rady.

On his part, the Albanian Premier expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Sisi, stressing the strength of the historical ties that unite the two friendly countries, and his country's aspiration to advance bilateral cooperation with Egypt in all fields.

Rama also manifested his follow-up to the unprecedented development efforts that Egypt is witnessing under the leadership of President Sisi in recent years.
