Presidential Advisor Denies Detection of Indian COVID-19 Variant in Egypt

Health Affairs Presidential Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din said on Wednesday that Egypt seeks to secure large amounts of the internationally approved Covid-19 vaccines.

In televised remarks to "Extra News" TV channel, Tag El-Din urged citizens to receive available vaccines of any kind.

Moreover, the presidential advisor denied the detection of the Indian COVID-19 variant in Egypt, stressing that it has not yet hit the country so far.

Tag El-Din also noted that there is no fundamental difference between the 2nd and 3rd waves of Coronavirus.
