President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call on Monday from Tunisian President Kais Saied.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic said that the call addressed bilateral relations, as the two presidents praised the development witnessed by relations between the two countries, and stressed their keenness to enhance cooperation in various fields, especially economic and trade ones.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman, added that the two Presidents exchanged views on the situation in the Gaza Strip, where Egyptian efforts to consolidate the ceasefire agreement and enforce humanitarian aid were reviewed. For his part, the Tunisian president appreciated the Arab plan to rebuild the Gaza Strip.
In this regard, the two presidents stressed their complete and absolute rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their land.
The official spokesman explained that the call also addressed the situation in Libya and Syria, where the two presidents stressed their keenness on the stability, unity and sovereignty of the two sister countries over all their territories and the safety of the two peoples from the dangers of conflict and division.
