President Sisi to Inaugurate Cairo ICT 2019

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will inaugurate Cairo International Exhibition on Telecommunication and Information Technology, Cairo ICT 2019 on Sunday, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

Cairo ICT, held under the auspices of President Sisi, is scheduled to conclude its activities on December 4.

It is the yearly event covering exhibition, conference, consumer and corporate activities organized by Trade fairs International. It represents a platform for major launches from public and private sectors. 

On the sideline of Cairo ICT 2019, the Digital Transformation in Oil and Gas Summit will be held. The summit will consider the future of digitalized operations across the region.

In 22 years Cairo ICT had more than 5000 exhibitors, 98,000 conferees and over 1 million visitors. It is the showcase for new technologies & trends.

The exhibition aims at bringing professionals and senior executives to develop and improve their trade through the use of technology as well as to develop business relations and market awareness of new technology solutions offered by companies in various fields.

The event is attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Amr Talaat and a number of other ministers and senior statesmen.

During Cairo ICT 2018, Talaat said the ministry has adopted Egypt Vision 2030 on sustainable development concept through making a breakthrough in the level of services offered to the citizens.

He noted that the ministry seeks to launch a number of government services through various channels based on the cultural persity and different usage of technology by the citizens. 

“The ministry is keen on maintaining partnership with its African partners to enhance digitization in Africa in coordination with the Foreign Ministry.”
