President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today made a phone call to Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that during the call the two leaders exchanged views on regional developments, most notably the blatant Israeli attack on the sisterly State of Qatar.
The two leaders expressed their full condemnation of this attack, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and an unacceptable infringement on the sovereignty of a sisterly Arab state.
They also expressed their support for Qatar.
The official spokesman added that the call also addressed developments in the Gaza Strip, where the two sides affirmed the need for an immediate ceasefire, the entry of sufficient quantities of humanitarian aid into the Strip, they also condemned the Israeli military escalation, rejecting attempts to displace Palestinians or to turn the Strip into an uninhabitable area.
