Al Ahly’s head coach René Weiler has potentially made his mind on the line-up for tonight’s clash in the CAF Champions League against Cano Sport.
The Red Devils are set to host the Guinean club at Borg Al Arab Stadium in the second leg of the last 32. The Egyptian League winners ended the first leg in a 2-0 victory on Cano Sport.
The starting line-up could witness the participation of left-winger Mahmoud Wahid and Mohamed Hany. Weiler could also depend on striker Salah Mohsen in the attacking line instead of Marwan Mohsen, who suffered a fracture to his facial bones and upper jaw during the Red Devils' 1-0 victory over Smoha in the Egyptian League opening game.
Al Ahly, who participated in this tournament as the Egyptian League winners, qualified for the last 32 after demolishing Etlaa Bara with thirteen unanswered goals on aggregate.
Weiler is looking forward to achieving his second trophy with the Red Devils after claiming the Egyptian Super Cup title at Borg Al Arab, where Al Ahly snatched a 3-2 over the White Knights.
The Potential Line up is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Sherif Ekramy or Mohamed El-Shenawy
Defenders: Mohamed Hany, Aymen Ashraf, Ramy Rabia, Mahmoud Wahid
Midfielders: Hamdy Fathi, Amr El Solia, Mohamed Magdy "Afsha," Ramadan Sobhi, Hussein El Shahat
or Ahmed EL Sheikh
Forwards: Salah Mohsen
