PM Mostafa Madbouly said that Egypt went through difficult circumstances last year, and there were many internal and external complications and challenges, yet managed to overcame these challenges.

Madbouly continued that one of the simplest of these challenges is that the state had obligations estimated at about $39 billion, yet the Egyptian state succeeded in repaying them, and this year the numbers and burdens will be much less than that.

The Prime Minister added that the state knows the limits of its obligations, and that it is able to bear these burdens, and was able to repay its debt successfully, which was very difficult, especially with the exceptional external challenges that occurred in the region, and had a very strong direct impact on Egypt, including the Red Sea crises, that saw 70% of the Suez Canal's revenues diminish.

Madbouly stressed that they are starting this year with planning, vision and hope that this year, despite the existing challenges, will be better in all areas.
