Play “Ahfad Raya W Skena” to Be Stage in KSA on Feb. 3

Dina El Sherbiny and Yasmin Raeis' play “Ahfad Raya W Skena: El Setat Mabyrfosh Yektalo” (Raya and Skena’s Grandchildren: Women Don't Know How to Kill), will make its debut on February 3, within the activities of Riyadh season, in Saudi Arabia.

The play features El Sherbiny as Lucy, Raeis as Bossi, Bayoumi Fouad as Heshmat, Mohamed Osama as Hazem, Mustafa Al-Banna as Saafan Moslehi, Badria Tolba as Umm Abdo, Ahmed Kishk as Hamid, Alaa Zeinhom as Hamid Al-Arian), Islam Abdel Shafee as Sakran, and Ahna Bassem as Walid.

It is directed by Sameh Bassiouni and written by Ahmed Shaker and Mustafa Hosni.

“Ahfad Raya W Skena” revolves around three girls from a prominent family who become poor and homeless after their father sells all his property to their uncle before his death. The girls turn to their fiances for help only to be abandoned by them after they learn of their new status.

Their life changes after the family's lawyer tell them that they have inherited an abandoned palace. They decide to renovate it in a hotel, and soon one of the girls' former fiance arrives to spend his honeymoon there and gets in a quarrel that ends with his death.

Afterward, the girls hide his body in the basement of the hotel and decide to take revenge on all the men, in a similar way to the killing of Raya and Sakina, and nicknames themselves Raya and Sakina's grandchildren.

“Ahfad Raya W Skena” marks Raeis’ stage debut and is set to be staged at the Riyadh season, in Saudi Arabia.

The first edition of Riyadh season kicked off in 2019 and is one of the Saudi Seasons’s launched to transform the country into one of the world’s most important tourist and entertainment destinations that supports Saudi Vision 2030.

This edition is scheduled to run from October 20 to March 2022 under the slogan #Imagine_More.

Riyadh Season will feature about 7,500 activity days, running concurrently, including more than 100 interactive experiences, 350 theater shows, 10 international exhibitions, more than 24 plays, and 76 concerts.
