Planning Min.: Egypt Aims to Screen 25 Million Women to Check Breast Tumors

As part of its efforts, the Egyptian government is targeting women's health initiatives, which aim to expand the geographical scope of services for early detection of breast tumors and comprehensive examination for women.

The initiative targets 25 million women nationwide.

A report by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development reviewed the World Bank’s praise of Egypt’s positive steps in the field of women’s health care and safety during the recent period.

The report titled: Women, Business Activities and the Law issued by the World Bank Group 2020, where the Bank mentioned in its report that Egypt scored 54 points out of 222 in The WBL index, which monitors laws and regulations in 8 areas that affect women's economic opportunities in 292 countries during the period from September 2019 to October 2020, in addition to Egypt's highest point in the pension index.
