Philippines: death toll from Typhoon Doksuri rises to 14

The Philippine National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management announced today (Saturday) that the powerful typhoon (Doksuri), which struck on Wednesday, has destroyed the country. It killed 14 people and 13 others were injured, while 20 people are still missing. 

More than 600,000 people across the country have been affected by the storm, which is the fifth to hit the country this year..while more than 17,000 people are still displaced from their homes, many of whom live in temporary shelters. 

The Typhoon caused damages to the agricultural sector worth 832 million pesos.
