The Iranian Presidency stated that President Masoud Pezeshkian held a phone call with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, to discuss the repercussions of the continued "U.S.-Zionist aggression" against Iran.
During the call, Pezeshkian emphasized that the "U.S.-Zionist war" has destabilized the security of the Strait of Hormuz and negatively impacted maritime navigation.
He called on France and other European nations to take action to address the current risks facing the region.
Furthermore, Pezeshkian criticized the stance of certain European countries for ignoring the root cause of the current regional situation.
He asserted that any lasting solution requires acknowledging the primary driver of the conflict to ensure regional stability.
