Over 300 people have died in the region of Al-Hawz, southwest of Marrakech, Morocco, due to extreme cold and hunger.

The Moroccan government abandoned these individuals following a severe earthquake that struck the Al-Hawz region in September of last year, registering at a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale.

The survivors of the Al-Hawz earthquake have been living in tents since September 8th, as the earthquake claimed the lives of their family members and destroyed their homes.

With the onset of winter, where temperatures drop significantly, the residents of these tents are suffering immensely, having set up makeshift accommodations on their own due to the complete absence of support from the authorities.

According to sources from Al-Nahar Online, as the cold and hunger intensify in these devastated areas, more than 300 people have lost their lives.

They had been given false promises by Moroccan authorities that they would be relocated to proper housing before the arrival of winter.

These same sources report that security authorities within the Moroccan regime are threatening anyone who reveals this horrifying death toll.

As a result, the Moroccan government continues to neglect the earthquake survivors in the Al-Hawz region, who are now facing an even greater risk of death due to the harsh conditions they endure inside their tents.

It's worth noting that the Al-Hawz region, considered one of the afflicted areas, is located in the southwest of Morocco and falls under the Marrakech-Safi region. It is about 40 kilometers away from the city of Marrakech.
