Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaidi made two phone calls yesterday evening, with Dr. Riyadh Al-Maliki, the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Gabi Ashkenazi, the Israeli Foreign Minister.
Al-Busaidi affirmed the steadfast Omani positions in supporting achieving fair and comprehensive peace in the Middle East through direct negotiations and a two-state solution for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
This comes hours before the meeting of Arab foreign ministers scheduled to be held tomorrow at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo in the framework of the 155th Session of the Council of the Arab League.
The activities of the 155th Session kicked off, on Monday, in preparation for the Ministerial Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday at the premises of the Secretariat General of the Arab League.
