Oman Becomes 1st Gulf State to Officially Reinstate Ambassador to Syria

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad accepted Thursday the credentials of Turki bin Mahmoud Al-Busaidi as ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman and Saeed Mohamed Khan as ambassador to the Republic of Pakistan to Damascus.

Yesterday, Thursday, Al-Assad received the two ambassadors separately and wished them success in their duties.

The accreditation ceremony was attended by Walid al-Muallem, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The two new ambassadors were received in the usual ceremony, according to the Syrian news agency "SANA".
