On Thursday, Saudi Arabia called for an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the latest rising tensions between Israeli and Palestine.

The meeting will be held between foreign ministers of the member states on Sunday to examine the latest Israeli violations in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and against Palestinians.

Both Palestinians and Israelis exchanged attacks which left behind dozens of casualties since the tensions escalated last week.

Early this week, the League of Arab States (LAS) held an extraordinary meeting over the ongoing blasting situation in Gaza and Jerusalem.

During the meeting, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Sameh Shoukry accused on Tuesday the Security Council of renouncing its responsibilities towards the current crisis in Palestine and the Middle East.

He asserted that Egypt’s role not only to ease the situation in Jerusalem underscoring that the ongoing explosive crisis is a result of political solutions absence for the Palestinean crisis.

Shoukry added that Israeli violations inside the Al-Aqsa mosque in Ramadan are a provocation against all Muslims, warning that these incidents are unforgettable.

Conquering the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Sheikh Jerrah town residents forced immigration won’t contribute to obtaining peace, Shoukry highlighted.
