The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Friday launched its 2025 cultural festival, Baku Creative Week, in the Azerbaijani capital, where it will run from December 5 to 11. The event is organized by the OIC in cooperation with Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture.
An opening press conference was held earlier in the day, featuring Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet, OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Cultural, Social and Humanitarian Affairs; Saadat Yusubova, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Culture; and Rashad Azizov, Director General of the Azerbaijan Film Agency.
Officials briefed media representatives on the extensive preparations led jointly by the OIC and the Ministry of Culture over recent months. They also outlined the rich program of activities, exhibitions, and creative events scheduled throughout the week, highlighting the festival’s role in promoting cultural exchange and strengthening cooperation among OIC member states.
