The Egyptian passport has achieved a new milestone in the 2025 Passport Index rankings, with the number of countries Egyptians can enter without a prior visa or with visa facilitations rising to 65 worldwide.
This progress is a positive step reflecting the strength of Egypt's foreign relations and its growing diplomatic presence on the international stage, granting Egyptian citizens broader opportunities for travel, tourism, education, and investment abroad.
According to the Passport Index report, the Egyptian passport ranked 75th globally with a mobility score of 65 points, while its global access rate reached approximately 33%, meaning it allows its holders to travel to nearly a third of the world's countries.
The index clarified that the Egyptian passport allows entry to: 18 countries visa-free, 44 countries with a visa on arrival, and 3 countries via an electronic visa (eTA), while 133 countries require a visa in advance.
Africa tops the list of countries most welcoming to Egyptians, who can enter Kenya, Ghana, Madagascar, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Uganda without a prior visa or by obtaining one upon arrival.
In Asia, Egyptians can easily enter Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka, while Iran has completely waived visa requirements for Egyptian passport holders.
In Europe, Albania, Armenia, and Montenegro are among the most prominent countries that allow Egyptians to enter without a visa or with a visa upon arrival.
In Latin America, Egyptians can visit Ecuador, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Bolivia, and Suriname under various visa facilitations.
Some countries in Oceania, such as Samoa, Tuvalu, Micronesia, and the Cook Islands, also welcome Egyptians without a prior visa.
