NU, El-Erian Discuss Managing World Economy over Coronavirus

Nile University (NU) hosted the international economist Mohamed El-Erian, via live broadcast, through ZOOM technology.

El-Erian has lived throughout his life moving between leadership positions around the world due to his competence and skill in the field of economics and he has become the most famous economic and financial analyst in the world.

During the meeting, El-Erian talked about the mechanisms of managing the global economy due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting addressed the global economic repercussions that the world will face as a result of the virus; The hardship Egypt and the world are going through; and an attempt to analyze the economic and social effects of the global pandemic known as the Coronavirus.

On his part, Dr. Tarek M. Khalil, President of Nile University said that this lecture is the third for the University in the current cultural season; it comes to complement the subject of the first lecture given by Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Sustainable Development Affairs “the repercussions of Coronavirus economic pandemic at the regional and local level”.

The second lecture  was on the same topic presented by SAE, Chief Executive Officer & Director at United Bank of Kuwait and Assistant Vice President at Arab Banking Corp. BSC. Mr.Adel El-Labban the Executive Director of Ahli United Bank in Bahrain; and one of the best CEOs The banking sector in the Middle East; known economic and analytical writings.

The President of the NU said that the meeting is followed by dozens of businessmen, economists, and politicians across the world, as well as a number of Egyptian ministers, university presidents, public and executive personalities.

It is also followed by hundreds of students and professors of the university who successfully completed intensive training on remote learning methods, headed by thinker and politician Amr Moussa, through the application for network transmission.

The lecture was broadcast directly on the official page of the National University of the Nile through Facebook https://www.facebook.com/NileUniversity/ to follow at the same time hundreds across Egypt, the world and the Arab world with a number of Important interventions.
