Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced on Tuesday that midfielder Neymar would be out of the French club's UEFA Champions League encounter against Barcelona

The Blaugrana are set to host the last edition runner-up on Wednesday in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League last 16, as the French champions demolished the Spanish giant 4-1 in the first leg.

Ambiguity has been arisen about the Brazilian international's participation in the upcoming game, especially after he resumed partial training with the squad last week.

In a statement, PSG announced that the former Barcelona star will be ruled out of the main squad due to his ongoing injury.

“Sergio Rico is not participating in training this morning for personal reasons. Neymar JR resumed partial training with the squad last week and will continue his inpidual recovery work. A new assessment will be made in the coming days," the statement read.

“Juan Bernat continues his rehabilitation and his personal recovery. Moise Kean is still in isolation due to Covid-19,” it added.
