New Head of Libyan Presidency Council Delivers Speech Today

On Thursday, the new head of Libyan Presidency Council Mohammad Younes Menfi is set to deliver a speech from Benghazi’s airport.

Menfi's media office said that the word will address issues of concern to the Libyan people.

The office added that the new head of the Libyan Presidency Council will visit many Libyan cities in the east, south, and west where he will meet a number of senior officials.

On Wednesday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated Menfi, the new head of the Libyan Presidency Council, over the phone.

“The president congratulated Al-Manfi on the new position, wishing him success in carrying out the tasks of this new mission, spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic Bassam Radi said.

On his part, Al-Manfi expressed appreciation for the president’s congratulations, stressing Libya’s pride in the solid fraternal relations with Egypt, and keenness to consolidate these relations and enhance cooperation frameworks between the two countries in various fields, in addition to increasing coordination and cooperation on various regional issues of common interest.

He also praised the effective and honest contribution of Egypt in resolving the Libyan crisis on political, military and economic levels.
