New Governors, Deputies Take Oath before President Sisi (Video)

New 17 governors and their 22 deputies took oath Wednesday before President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi at the presidential palace in Cairo.

Egypt, earlier today, announced the appointment of 17 governors and their 22 deputies who were members of the Presidential Leadership Program (PLP). The move was seen by a number of MPs and experts as a “good step” towards youth empowerment.

The newly-appointed governors include:

1-Mohamed Al-Sherif for Alexandria.

2-Tarek Rahmy for Al-Gharbiya

3-Mohamed Hany for Beni Suef

4- Amr Hanafy for Red Sea.

5-Tarek Al Feki for Sohag

6-Khaled Shoeab for Marsa Matrouh

7- Sherif Fahmy Beshara for Ismailia

8-Ashraf Abdul Bary for Aswan

9-Osama Al-Kady for Menya

10-Abdul Hamid Abdel Aziz for Al-Qaliobya

11-Gamal Nor Al-Din for Kafr al Sheikh

12-Essam Saad Ibrahim for Assuit

13-Ahmed Abdul Al Ansary for Al Fayoum

14-Ashraf Al Dardery for Qena

15-Ayman Moktar for al Dqahliya

16-Ibrahim al Shehawy for Menoufiya

17-Ahmed Abdul Al Ansary for Fayoum

On the other hand, the deputy governors include:

Mohamed Mahmoud for Minya governorate, Hossam Fawzy, for Cairo governorate at the northern zone, Ahmed Al-Nabawi Atta for Gharbiya governorate, Amr Magdy El-beshbeshy for Kafr El-Sheikh governorate; Dr. Ahmed Mahmmoud Abdel-Motti for Al-Sharqiya governorate and Eng Samir Mohamed Hammad for Qalyoubia governorate.

They also included Amr Othman for Port Said, Lubna Abdel-Aziz for Sharqiya governorate, Belal Al-Saeed for Beni Suef, Gehan Abdel-Moneim for Cairo governorate at the southern zone, Ibrahim Nagy Al-Shahabi for Giza governorate, Haitham Fathallah for Al-Daqahliya governorate, Ahmed Nagy Adly for Sohag, Islam Mohamed Ibrahim for Damietta, Hazim Omar for Qena governorate, Dina Al-Desouky for Matrouh, Ahmed Shaaban for Aswan, Mohamed Emad Abdel-Qader for Al-Fayoum governorate, Mohamed Ibrahim Lotfy for Menoufia governorate, Ghada Yehia for Aswan governorate, Hend Abdel-Halim for Giza governorate, Eng. Enas Samir, for South Sinai governorate and Jacqueline Azar for Alexandria governorate.

Moreover, Sisi is set to hold a meeting with the newly appointed governors and their deputies after swearing oath.

The appointment of the youth coincides with Egypt’s third annual Word Youth Forum, due to convene on Dec. 14-17 in Sharm el-Sheikh city of the Red Sea governorate.
