The German experience, the Japanese experience and the branches of foreign universities.. Is there an end to the chaos that we have suffered from for a long time? ..

Last week, with the start of the academic year at the German University for applied science and the presence of more than 10 German officials talking about Egypt and its attraction for 42% of German education, I realized that we are on the right course as President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sought to cement a partnership between the Egyptian and German governments to establish the first university for applied science  in the administrative capital.

This  proves his keen on the educational process and make use of the experiences of the other countries to serve the Egyptian society. We are making use of the Japanese experience in the primary education and the German experience in the applied science.

For the first time, I visited the new administrative capital to attend the celebration of new academic year at the new university .. which is still under construction;  it represents an architectural edifice, emphasizing that there is a new vision and thought commensurate with a new education system.

Therefore, I was very happy to listen to Dr. Ashraf Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo, saying that the German International University of Applied Sciences started its first steps in the new administrative capital by laying the fastest foundation stone in the capital on 29 October 2018.

Because the university buildings are still under construction, the agreement signed between Egypt and Germany provides that during the first year, the students will study at the German University in Cairo as a preparatory year, after that they will study in the administrative capital.

I also listened to Ambassador George Lowe, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German International University of Applied Sciences, talking about his happiness to return to Egypt again after the end of his tenure as German Ambassador to Egypt.

He said that the university will go beyond the borders of Egypt and Germany and open new branches in Africa, as Egypt is a friend of Germany, and a gateway to Africa, especially after its presidency of the African Union and playing a major role in the stability of the region.

May God make all universities in the administrative capital a big leap in the Egyptian education to satisfy the aspirations of our youth in order to have new Zewail, Farouk El-Baz and Magdy Yacoub.
