He added during a meeting of the occupation government on Sunday: “There are issues about which we can be flexible in negotiations, and other issues about which we cannot be flexible.”
He continued: "Israel is engaged in complex negotiations to return hostages in Gaza, but it also has principles that must be preserved because they are vital to its security."
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Sunday evening, as part of Washington's intensified diplomatic efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.
