Nelly Karim Reveals Battle with Benign Facial Tumor

Egyptian actress Nelly Karim had a benign facial tumor removed and is fully recovered.

She got candid with Emirati YouTube host Anas Bukhash on his show “ABtalks” about her secret battle with cancer.

"I found out that I had a benign facial tumor and decided to have an operation. The doctors warned me that I could be paralyzed and could not fully move my face," Karim stated.

"I did the operation in the United States and it was successful but the doctor removed a part of my ear to cover the wound because it disfigured me," she added.

The actress continued: "I have experienced many difficult moments in my life, but the most difficult moment is when I see someone dear to me in pain. This happened when my mother had a stroke and I could not act because I was nervous in difficult situations,".

"I am afraid of illness because I do not want to remain a burden on anyone. I was hospitalized twice while filming a project and I did not tell anyone.” she added.

Karim, was born December 18, 1974, in Alexandria, Egypt to an Egyptian father and Russian mother. She has drawn attention for her in 2006 for her refusal to portray seductive roles.
