Nagat Al-Saghira to Make Music Comeback After 5-Year Absence

Veteran Egyptian singer-actress Nagat Al-Saghira is set to make her much-awaited music comeback after years of absence.

Composer Sami Al Hefnawi shared that is collaborating with the iconic singer on five songs.

"We have not set a release date for the new songs. Therefore, I cannot talk or reveal any details about the collaboration. I will announce all the details when the date is set,” Al Hefnawi told the Lebanese newspaper AnNahar.

Al-Saghira quit music in 2002 and returned in 2017 with a new song "Kol El Kalam", which she recorded 15 years ago.

It was by the lyrics of the great poet Abdel Rahman El-Abnudi and composed by Talal.

In a phone-in with the media, Amr Adib, in the year 2021, Najat Al-Saghira indicated

In 2021, Al-Saghira shared in televised remarks her desire to make music comeback and return to her audience.

The acclaimed singer expressed her love for music, which she considered to be her life, and indicated that she learned music from Umm Kulthum and the musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab.

Al-Saghira, born on August 11, 1938, is one of the leading vocalists in the history of the Arab world. She began her career at the age of five and retired 59 years later.

The legendary singer''s works are a part of Egyptian music from the "golden age" of the 1940s, ’50s, and ’60s. She retired from acting in 1976.
