In a partnership with International and domestic entities, the Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Mustafa Elfeki opened and inaugurated a multi-purpose hall, Micro Gallery, at the Cultural and Natural Heritage Documentation Center in the Smart Village (CULTNAT), which is one of the research centers at Bibliotheca Alexandrina stationed in Cairo.
The finished hall is the result of 20 years of the work and efforts of the library to establish the cultural heritage center in which all writings, books, documentaries of ancient and modern Egyptian civilization are placed.
In a step intended to set up a digital documentation center enabling a heritage and modern database to be established, the Micro Gallery hall will run documentaries linking the upcoming seminars with substantive location footage alongside countless works of ancient and modern art, national awards, and folkloric literature.
Moreover, the hall contains and features several applications and smart panels, such as the "Wall of Knowledge" which is a visitor information board available to download an informative application by mobile phones to connect Micro Gallery's visitors through the things on campus in order to improve their sense of belonging.
In the same connection, this feature allows visitors to interact with the server in a specific place with the support of Augmented Reality technology.
