Mousa Afshar, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), stated that the Velayat-e Faqih regime is in its final stages following the death of the executioner Khamenei. He emphasized that the fate of Iran is decided within its borders and by the hands of its own people, not through external gambles.

Afshar said: "True and fundamental change in Iran will not come through the gateway of foreign military intervention; it will be achieved exclusively by the Iranian people and their organized resistance. While the ongoing external war has objectively weakened the regime’s military machine and contributed to the erosion of its foundations, the decisive force that will deliver the final blow to this tyranny is the Resistance Units, which have become a factual army of liberation in the heart of the cities."

He added: "The installation of Mojtaba Khamenei in a leadership position is a desperate attempt to transform the Velayat-e Faqih system into a 'hereditary sultanate,' representing a blatant theft of the Iranian people's sovereignty. This transition does not reflect the regime's strength; rather, it exposes a deep crisis of legitimacy and the Mullahs' inability to confront a society boiling under the weight of oppression and poverty."

Afshar continued: "The field power of the resistance was manifested in the major strategic attack on February 23, where 250 fighters from the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) carried out a qualitative operation against one of the primary headquarters of the executioner Khamenei in the heart of Tehran. This proves that organized resistance has moved beyond the stage of spontaneous protests to the stage of strategic operations directly targeting centers of oppression."

He explained: "On February 28, the National Council of Resistance of Iran announced the formation of a Provisional Government based on the 10-point plan proposed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. This government aims to transfer sovereignty to the people within six months through free elections, ensuring the establishment of a democratic republic based on the separation of religion and state and the abolition of the death penalty."

Afshar emphasized: "The Iranian people, who have sacrificed 100,000 martyrs in their battle against the Mullahs' dictatorship, clearly reject any return to the past. The project to reproduce the buried Shah's regime is an illusion that only serves the survival of the current regime; the sacrifices made were not to replace a religious tyranny with a hereditary one, but to realize the slogan: 'Death to the oppressor, whether it be the Shah or the Leader (Velayat-e Faqih).'"

Afshar concluded: "The Velayat-e Faqih regime has reached its inevitable end. The international community must recognize the right of the Iranian people and the Resistance Units to overthrow this criminal regime and support the choice of a democratic alternative that guarantees a free, peaceful, and non-nuclear Iran."
