Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral burial of Tunisian activist Lina Ben Mhenni in Jellaz cemetery, a large hillside Muslim cemetery in Tunis.
Many videos have been circulated on social media platforms, showing women carrying bin Mehani coffin, which was wrapped in the Tunisian red flag.
The funeral was held amid revolutionary chants, ululation and applause by the women, who dominated the majority of the attendees.

Social media users noted that Ben Mhenni, with this distinguished funeral, refused to give up even after her death, and others considered this "a final lesson from Lina before the last goodbye."
It is worth mentioning that, Tunisian President Kais Saied offered condolences to the family of Ben Mhenni at her home, according to the Tunisian newspaper "Al-Shorouk".
The Tunisian human rights activist and blogger, Ben Mhenni, who chronicled the popular uprising that toppled longtime president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in 2011, died on Monday aged 36 after a long illness.
Her death, in a hospital, was caused by a stroke resulting from complications of an autoimmune disease, according to her family.
She was one of many young people in Arab countries who used social media and blogs to document the protests and the subsequent crackdowns that state-controlled media ignored, providing outside news organizations that were barred from the country with rare glimpses of the turmoil in the streets and insights into the mood of the people, according to New York Times.
