Egyptian actor Mostafa Shaban will make a comeback to the big screen after 12 years of absence.
Shaban has signed on to star in the romantic comedy film “Elly Saraq Haga Yeragaha” (working title).
The film is directed and produced by Magdy El Hawary. Principal photography will take place in a number of European countries.
He made his last cinematic appearance in the 2010 film “Al Watar”.

On the other hand, Shaban is preparing to participate in Ramadan 2023 drama marathon with the TV series “Baba Al Magal”.
The series is directed by Ahmed Khaled Moussa and produced by Kamel Abu Ali.
The actor participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Daymn Amer“.
It also starred Lebleba, Salah Abdallah, Mirna Nour El-Din, Cynthia Khalifeh, Ahmed Alshami, Karim Afifi, Mohamed Tharwat, and others.
The series also featured acclaimed actress Fadia Abdel Ghany, who made her comeback to the small screen after five years of absence.
El Hawary directed from a screenplay by Ayman Selim and Michael Adel.
“Daymn Amer” shed light on the education system of Egypt including, the teacher-student relationship, the problems that occur among teachers, and the parent-child relationship.
The series achieved great success during its premiere time.
Shaban, born on May 19, 1970, is considered one of the most prominent stars who have been annually present in Ramadan.
He presented in the past years’ TV series “Molook El Gadaana“ in 2021, TV series “Abu Gabal” in 2019, “Ayoub” in 2018, and “Allahom Any Sayem” in 2017.
Shaban also starred in the TV series “Abu Al-Banat” in 2016, “Mawlana El-aasheq” in 2015, “Doctor Amrad Nesa” in 2014, “Mazag El Kheir” in 2013, and “Al Zoga Al Raba’a” in 2012.
