More than 4,000 residents of Russian Orenburg evacuated due to floods

The authorities of Orenburg Province in the Russian Ural Mountains announced the evacuation of more than 4,000 people from flood areas in the province.

A statement from the provincial governor's office said on Sunday, according to the Novosti news agency, that 4,064 people were evacuated, and 47 bridges were closed in 31 municipalities in the province.

The statement added that power supplies were cut off to 8,816 residential buildings, and 41 emergency teams are currently working in evacuations.
