opinion .

During the inauguration of the 2nd Phase of Greenhouses Project, president Abd Al Fattah El Sisi asked Major General Mohamed Abdel Hay Mahmoud, chairman of the National Company for Protected Agriculture affiliated to the National Service Projects Organization,:”what is your monthly Salary Mohamed?.

It was a surprising question to Mr. Mohamed and to all the attendees. He replied:" 14,200 pounds." then the president said if Mohamed closed his eyes he can make 12 million pounds per day but there is no one who takes this money for himself, we never tolerate corruption.

Everyone is working for the glory, honor, dignity and prestige of Egypt. This is what the martyr achieves in the police and army and in return he gain dignity. I was not surprised neither by the question nor the answer.

Integrity and honesty are essential characteristics of all those who work with the president and carry out a national mission. Those men represent role models and their wages are not material gain. The president’s question also revealed his humanity, as he feels those around him, whether officials or citizens.

During the inauguration of the giant project yesterday, I was so happy and proud of inaugurating the 2nd Phase of Greenhouses Project at Mohamed Naguib center built by Egyptian youth and implemented by the National Company for Protected Agriculture, with a number of companies and cooperating local and foreign expertise, which are keen to provide the Egyptian food in the field of strategic vegetables such as tomatoes and potatoes, at competitive prices.

The President's directives were clear to all Egyptian authorities during the inauguration of the first phase in last February that included  1,302 greenhouses lying over 500 feddans, It is the largest greenhouse project in the Middle East.

As usual, the President has not only focused on the project, but he has sent many messages to all parties, both to the Egyptian citizen who sees his dreams in a safe life comes true or to those who are seeking to hinder the process of construction and development inside and outside Egypt.

The President is always looking forward to building the future by adopting the latest international technology in terms of production quality, rationalizing the use of water by using modern agriculture, reducing inflation and producing healthy food.

In just two years, 200 thousand feddans have been reclaimed creating more than 70,000 job opportunities in El Lahoun, the 10th of Ramadan and Abu Sultan. Despite the enormous achievement, the population increase will swallow it if we do not pay attention.

We aim to eliminate the exploitation of foreign companies in addition to ensuring the safety and quality of agricultural products through the integrated management of agricultural pesticides, in addition to the establishment of a factory for biopesticides to eliminate pests.

A new history is rewritten for development not only in the volume of production of greenhouses, but regarding the change of irrigation systems throughout Egypt to provide 4 billion cubic meters annually, through the implementation of the largest protected agriculture project globally which provides 250 thousand jobs contributing to meeting the needs of the local market in Beni Suef, and Upper Egypt governorates.

The president focused on the fact that controlling market mechanisms by increasing supply is not against the interest of the Egyptian trader.

The President's directives also stressed the need to build the mosques and the churches in suitable places. He also demanded not to legalize the situation of the trespassers on the lakes in King Mariout and Al Manzala, saying: I am against chaos and negligence; the era of the soft state has ended as it is forbidden to take a property that is not yours.
