Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah is edging closer to deciding his next destination after confirming that his nine-year spell at Anfield will come to an end this summer, with clubs from Major League Soccer and the Saudi Pro League leading the race for his signature.

According to reports, Sporting Kansas City has emerged as the most serious MLS contender to sign the Egyptian forward, while Saudi Pro League clubs remain firmly interested in bringing Salah to the Middle East.

Despite the growing interest from Saudi Arabia, Salah is reportedly keen to continue playing in Europe if the right opportunity arises. Turkey, Italy, and MLS are also being considered as possible destinations for the 34-year-old winger.

Sporting Kansas City is said to be pushing hard to convince Salah, with the club's ownership viewing his arrival as a major sporting and commercial opportunity.

Salah leaves Liverpool as one of the greatest players in the club's history after a trophy-laden nine-year spell. Although his final Premier League campaign saw him register seven goals and seven assists in 27 appearances, he had led Liverpool to the league title just one season earlier with an outstanding tally of 29 goals and 18 assists.

Saudi clubs, particularly Al-Ittihad, continue to monitor Salah's situation closely after years of pursuing his signature, but no final decision has yet been made.

The Egyptian star is expected to carefully assess all available options before announcing the next chapter of his career, with his future likely to become one of the biggest stories of the summer transfer window.
