Mohamed Mounir’s Hand Prints Added to Wall of Fame in Saudi Arabia

“The King” Mohamed Mounir’s handprints were added to the Historic Wall of Fame of Boulevard in Riyadh. 

The handprint event is a take on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, which is an internationally recognized landmark and has more than 2,700 stars honoring the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

Everyone who performs at Riyadh Season is given the chance to leave a handprint on a tray of cement.

The Wall of Fame bears the handprints of Egyptian stars such as Ahmed Helmy, Mohamed Henedy, Bayoumi Fouad, Ahmed Ezz, Karim Abdel Azizand Donia Samir Ghanem.

The wall also holds the mark of regional and international stars such as Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, Hollywood star Mel Gibson, Syrian singer Assala Nasri Lebanese superstar Elissa, and Morocco’s Cheb Khaled.

Mohamed Mounir

Mounir, born on October 10, 1954, is one of the Middle East’s best singers.

He released his 1977 debut solo album, “Alemony Eneeki” on the Sonar record label, after completing his military service.

The superstar has released over 22 albums and six soundtrack albums.

Mounir, whose musical career spanned over three decades, presented various genres in his music, such as classical Egyptian Music, Nubian music, blues, jazz, and reggae.

The superstar’s lyrics are quite famous for their philosophical content as well as for their passionate social and political commentary.
