Egyptian actor Mohamed Mamdouh will not participate in Ramadan 2022 drama marathon.
"I did not sign on any project for Ramadan. I want to rest a little and hang out with my family," he said in a statement.
The actor noted that he has been filming projects since Ramadan had finished.
Mamdouh participated last Ramadan with the hit TV series “Lebat Newton” and “Khali Balek Min Zizi”.
The actor was last seen in the film “Abu Saddam”, which marked his first leading role in a film.
It centered around a 40-year-old experienced truck driver Abu Saddam (Mamdouh) getting a transportation mission on the North Coast road after he stopped working for years, who is unemployed due to his severe temperament.
He decides that he wants to complete his mission perfectly to complement his working reputation but he faces a small situation on the road and things get out of control.
The film, which also starred Sayed Ragab and Ahmed Dash, was scripted by Mahmoud Ezzat and directed by Nadine Khan.
“Abu Saddam” received its world premiere at the 43rd edition of the Cairo International Film Festival, which took place from November 25 to December 5 and earned Mamdouh the Best Actor Award for his performance.
