Egyptian Comedian Mohamed Henedy announced Thursday that he has obtained Saudi citizenship.
Henedy, posted on his official account on “X”: “I have been honored a lot in my artistic career ... but the biggest honor is that I obtained the citizenship and passport of the country of the Two Holy Mosques. Thank you to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
He concluded: “By the way, I am very surprised by those who attack honoring and appreciating art ... Therefore, thanks to His Excellency Turki Al-Sheikh for honoring and appreciating Egyptian and Arab art.”
Al-Sheikh posted on his Facebook account a post that read: “I wish Henedy would work on "The American University II", and renew our memories. He and all the great stars Mona and Al-Sakka. This movie has memories in every home in the Arab world ... and if it is ready, we are ready to support it."
