Egyptian actor Mohamed Emam announced Wednesday that he will not participate in Ramadan 2022 drama marathon.
In a press statement, the actor noted that he will not participate in the drama marathon due to being busy shooting his new film “Amohom”, which is almost finished.
He added that will be shooting a new film in the coming weeks after wrapping all details of “Amohom”.
The film also stars Sayed Ragab, Ayten Amer, Huda El Mufti, and Mohamed Lotfy.
The actresses boarded the project after Amina Khalil and Rehab El Gamal had exited the film. El Mufti is replacing Khalil while Amer is replacing El Gamal.
“Amohom” is scripted by Wessam Sabry, directed by Hussein El Menbawy, and produced by Mohamed El Sobky.
The film marks the second collaboration between El Menbawy and Emam. They collaborated for the first time in the 2018 film “Lelat Hana w Sorour” (The Night of Hana and Sorour).
Emam participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Al Nimr”(Tiger).
It is written by Mohamed Salah Al-Azab, directed by Sherine Adel, and produced by Synergy production company.
“Al Nimr” also starred are Mohamed Reyad, Hannah El Zahed, Nermine El Feky, Ahmed Abdallah Mahmoud, Bayoumi Fouad, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, and others.
