Minka to Launch ‘Kinda”.. Canada Like Residence in Cairo

Minka Real Estate Investment company, a company owned by the Salam family announced the launch of its new project "Kinda", which is located in East Cairo. The launch of the project came within the strategy of the Company, which focuses on innovation and development, as the company aims to build appropriate and innovative communities that contribute to making Egypt a better place.

The engineering designs of the project were started in July 2019 and the preliminary work on the project was started in May 2020 and is scheduled for completion in 2025.

The Kinda compound’s built-up- area is 28 acres (115,000 square meters), where the project is located in a special location with a 400-meter facade opposite to the Royal Kempinski Hotel on the Ring Road, within part of the Taj City, which makes it close to all services that meet the needs of the family. 

The idea of ​​the "Kinda" project was based on a search for better living styles around the world, and a study of the cities that are most comfortable in terms of living and to observe the standards of quality of life. Upon such criteria along with the personal experience of the CEO of the company, the "Kinda" project was designed in a way that was inspired by the style and way of life in famous Canadian cities.

On his part, Engineer Abdullah Salam - CEO of Minka Real Estate Investment Company said: “We are happy to launch our latest and largest projects in the Egyptian market.

The new project simulates the living standards applied in major Canadian cities and we aim, through it, to provide a practical and sustainable residential community, by focusing on nine Standards of living in which we see a direct impact on the comfort and happiness of customers. Those standards include community services, weather, communication, design, education, health, green spaces, sustainability and safety.

Salam added: “We purchased the land in March 2020 from the Nasr City for Housing and Development Company, at a value of 1.15 billion pounds, and we aim to reach investments in the project to about 5 billion pounds.”

He continued:“ Selecting partners and using trusted expertise was one of the first and most important steps in this project, as we cooperated with the Canadian company SvN, which participated from the beginning in setting the basic standards for designing the project, as well as Arup International, one of the most important companies in the world in engineering consultancy, especially in matters of renewable energy, sustainability and infrastructure.

"We also cooperated with Trinity Design company specialized in landscape design and solutions. In addition, there are local partners that are no less important than foreign companies, on top of which is our construction company, which is the Ink Design Hub Company, which is responsible for interior designing and supporting clients in reaching the optimal design for their units."

Salam explained that Kenda project includes about 800 fully finished units that will be delivered in several phases, as the project is pided into a villa area, a condominium area, an administrative building area, and others for services and entertainment. 

The project contains large green areas that reach 75% of the total area, designed with care and scientific study. 

The project is characterized by focusing on accurate living details, most notably the medical services that include specialized clinics and distinguished health insurance in cooperation with major companies in this field, and many educational services will be provided in "Kinda", including an educational center in cooperation with an international Canadian school and a scholarship program for students in Canadian universities.

All of this comes in addition to advanced and innovative services in the fields of society, transportation, sustainability, safety, etc. 

Salam concluded that the experience of living in "Kinda" will be a unique and new experience that will have a great impact on the development of living standards in future projects in Egypt, which is one of the most important objectives of this project and the company.

It is noteworthy that Minka Real Estate Investment Company is one of the companies owned by the Salam family, which has a history of more than 80 years in the Egyptian market. Among the company's previous projects are the English-designed Kensington project and The HOFT project, where the project is located within the administrative complex of the Taj City project, and finally, the Cairoom project for managing residential units and hotel management.
