Zamalek president Mortada Mansour announced on Sunday that the Serbian coach Milutin Sredojević "Micho" has landed in Egypt to sign the contract as the Whites' new coach.
Mansour added that he would hold a meeting with Micho to agree on all the details regarding his contract. "Micho is set to sign a one-year contract with the Whites," a source told Yallakora's website.
Zamalek will hold a press conference in the upcoming few days to present the new coach to the media.
The Club’s president sacked coach Khaled Galal following the Whites’ defeat in the Cairo derby and appointed on Friday, August 2 Tarek Yehia as a temporary head coach for just a week.
In May, Zamalek won the Confederation Cup for the first time in their history after securing a victory in a dramatic penalty shootout against RS Berkane at Burj Al Arab Stadium (5-3). The Whites failed to claim the Egyptian Premier League this season as they finished second with 72 points.
It is worth mentioning that the White Knights made an ideal start to their adventure in the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League by hammering Dekedaha on Sunday with unanswered seven goals at Burj Al-Arab stadium. The Confederation Cup champions will play the second Leg against Dekedaha on Friday, August 23.
