The Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation, represented in the Ministry of Transport, announced that a billboard fell from outside the metro wall above the October Bridge which led to a technical malfunction on one of the trains.
Its added that th is occurred at the Ghamra metro station in the direction of Helwan.
It explained that the power was cut off for 25 to 30 minutes, and the movement of trains stopped in the Ghamra area only, until the billboard was removed, the power was restarted, adding that and traffic became regular at all stations.
The company confirmed that emergency teams immediately moved to the site to remove the billboard and that the train movement resumed.
