Dr. Manar Ghanem, a member of the media office of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), told Extra News’ morning show on Thursday, that the decline in temperatures will continue in Egypt until the middle of the upcoming week which would increase experiencing coldness, regardless of the sunny period that occurs during the day.
However, the impact of the cold and freezing waves of winds that come from the south of Eastern Europe is overcoming the effect of the sunny times.
It is expected that Cairo will record 15 degrees in the day, and 8 degrees in the nighttime.
Ghanem also revealed that EMA predicted a strong wind activity in the country starting from Sunday, alongside showers falling in the northern coasts and Lower Egypt.
So, cold weather will prevail across the Great Cairo, northern coasts, Lower Egypt, and north of Upper Egypt, and moderately cold in the south of Upper Egypt during the daytime.
On the other hand, it will be extremely cold all over Egypt, in addition, frost could be formed in northern Upper Egypt, new cities, and some areas in the middle of Sinai.
