MEED Ranks Arab Contractors among Top 10 Companies in MENA

The Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) has listed the Arab Contractors among the top ten companies in the Middle East and Africa.

According to data from the 2018 MEED report, the company has achieved a conversion ratio of about 80% and a performance rating of 1200 points in the energy sector public tenders, placing it on the 7th spot compared to other companies in the MENA region.

Established in 1955, the Egyptian Construction and Contracting Company has witnessed a huge leap in Africa and the Arab world under the leadership of Engineer Mohsen Salah.

The report added that China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC)  reached the highest conversion ratio of 100% and a performance rating of 1590 points, followed by Elswedy Electric at 1050 points, and Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. at 850 points, while the SepcoIII Electric Power Construction Co arrived in the nineteenth spot with conversion ratio of 29% and week a performance rating of 390 points.

The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) are contractual arrangements used in some industries, in which the company is responsible for all activities from design, procurement, construction, commissioning and delivery of the project to the customer.

Among the most recent Arab Contractors projects are the Monorails of the New Administrative Capital and 6 October City, East Taimaa /Jahra Road Projects in Kuwait, Designing and Construction of Rufiji's Dam and Hydropower in Tanzania, Assiut Plateau Axis, New Alamein City Towers, the Parliament Building in the New Administrative Capital, and the International Coastal Road (Alexandria - Matrouh), as well as the expansion of the Mit Fares Water Station.

Over the past few years, the Arab Contractors has supported Egypt to regain its status as a regionally leading construction market.
