Egyptian actress Mai Ezz Eldin is making her theatrical debut with the play "Zawag Estenay" (Artificial Marriage), at the end of the month.
It is set to be staged at the Riyadh Season 2023 in Saudi Arabia. The 4th edition of the Riyadh Season is held under the slogan of "Big Time" and will kick off on October 28.
The play will be hosted on October 30 at the Mohammed Alali Theater.
The cast also includes Mohamed Sallam, Bayoumi Fouad, Eman El-Sayed, Soleiman Eid, Donia El Masry, Moustafa Ghareeb, and more.
It follows Shorouk and Farouk are exposed to a crisis on their wedding night, which forces them to turn to an expert in marital relations, who conducts a new experiment on them using artificial intelligence that makes them rethink their entire marriage project.
Ezz Eldin was last seen in the TV series "Souq Canto" (Canto Market), starring Amir Karara.
The cast also includes Mai Ezz El Din, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun, Kamal Abu Rayya, and more. Hani Sarhan directed the series from a script by Hussein El Menbawy.
Set in 1950s Egypt, "Souq Canto" follows courageous Taha dealing with old family vendettas and greed for money as he navigates the fierce competition in Souq El Canto.
Ezz Eldin, born on January 19, 1980, in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, studied sociology at the Faculty of Arts in Alexandria.
In 2001, she learned that famous singer Mohamed Fouad was looking for a new face to star opposite him in his film “Rehlet Hob” (A Love Journey), she took the risk and asked director Mounir Radi— who was a friend of the family— to introduce her to Mouhamed El Nagar the director of the film.
El Nagar found in her a fresh pretty face and talent that they were searching for, in turn, he introduced her to Fouad who gave her first leading role.
Ezz Eldin's second appearance was in the TV series “Ayna Qalbi” (Where is My Heart) co-starring veteran Egyptian actress Yousra, which shot her to stardom.
She boosted her career with El Sobky Production films "Kalam Mama" and the rom-com franchise “Omar & Salma” co-starring Tamer Hosny, and together they formed a successful artist duo that continued in two other sequels.
Her film credits also include "Farah", "Khiana Mashroaa", and "Habibi Na'eman".
She is also known for her roles in TV series such as "Ayna Qalby", "Al-Hakika w Al-Sarab", "Mahmoud Al-Masri", "Adam", "El Shak", "Dalaa Banat", "Halet Eshq", "Waad", "Rasa'el", “Kheit Harir”, and “Gezira Guam”.
