Veteran Egyptian actor Lotfy Labib announced his retirement from acting at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of iconic roles.
"In my current health condition, if I get a role, I won't be able to play it because I prefer that my image remains as it was to the fans."
Born on August 18, 1947, Labib is an Egyptian stage, television, and film actor. The acclaimed actor has worked profusely, in many supporting but memorable roles, with over 200 film and television credits.
Through many of his screen appearances, Labib has performed admirably and has shown himself to be one of the strongest performers of his generation.
