Liverpool have officially secured the long-term future of midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai after the Hungary international signed a new five-year contract with the Premier League club.
The 25-year-old, whose previous deal was due to expire in 2028, committed his future to the Reds on Friday following weeks of renewed negotiations.
Speaking after signing his new contract, Szoboszlai described the extension as one of the proudest moments of his football career.
"It's maybe my biggest day. There are a couple in front of it – probably when I signed for Liverpool and when I got my baby. But in my football career, I can say this is in the top three," he said.
The Hungarian captain also reaffirmed his ambition to continue winning trophies at Anfield.
"When I signed, I said I want to win everything. That didn't change for a moment. I want to win everything that is possible in this country, and also the Champions League. I'm ready to go for it," he added.
Szoboszlai's new deal represents a significant boost for Liverpool and new head coach Andoni Iraola, who recently replaced Arne Slot ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Since arriving from RB Leipzig in 2023, Szoboszlai has developed into one of Liverpool's most influential players.
He enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists in 53 appearances, becoming the first Liverpool midfielder since Steven Gerrard in the 2013/14 season to record double figures in both goals and assists.
Szoboszlai has already helped Liverpool win the Premier League and League Cup, while also being voted the club's Player of the Year by supporters last season.
