Lebanese Prime Minister (PM) Nawaf Salam expressed Lebanon’s solidarity with Syria on Friday in response to recent Israeli airstrikes.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Salam wrote, “Lebanon stands in solidarity with Syria in the face of Israeli aggression and is fully committed to the unity of Syrian territory.”
He emphasized that the Lebanese government is primarily concerned with establishing security and stability in Syria, ensuring the safety of its people, and supporting their hopes and aspirations.
The statement followed Israeli air raids carried out on Thursday, which targeted an area near the presidential palace in Damascus.
